Description:

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Corona, California, in the Oil & Gas - Pipeline industry. The selected candidate will be a part of a dynamic team, handling various tasks related to payroll, including manual timesheet entry, electronic timesheet review, and other related duties. The role will also involve the use of various Accounting Software Systems and ADP - Financial Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately processing payroll using various accounting software systems
  • Reviewing and entering data from manual and electronic timesheets
  • Resolving any discrepancies or issues related to payroll
  • Assisting with auditing and maintaining accurate customer credit records
  • Managing accounts payable and other accounting functions
  • Using ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian for various tasks
  • Coordinating with the office manager for any queries or issues
  • Ensuring compliance with union payroll requirements
  • Managing benefit functions and processing accordingly
  • Utilizing skills in ‘Dayforce’ and ‘About Time’ for efficient workflow
  • Candidate must have at least 3 years of experience working as a Payroll Clerk, preferably within the Oil & Gas - Pipeline industry.
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required for this role.
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now is essential.
  • The applicant should be well-versed with Ceridian, Dayforce, and About Time software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP) is expected.
  • The candidate should have a strong background in Auditing.
  • Proficiency in managing Benefit Functions is necessary for this role.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
