Description:

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Clerk in Arden Hills, Minnesota, 55112, United States. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate processing of bi-weekly payroll using ADP and maintaining detailed records. This role involves dealing with employee inquiries regarding payroll and ensuring appropriate actions are taken for any discrepancies in customer accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process bi-weekly payroll utilizing ADP Workforce Now.
  • Compute wages and deductions, recording relevant data in reports, journals, and ledgers.
  • Address employees’ questions and concerns regarding payroll in a timely and professional manner.
  • Issue and record adjustments to pay related to previous errors or retroactive increases.
  • Keep comprehensive records of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for employees.
  • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Ensure special payroll deductions are accurately processed.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all tasks.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure all payroll operations run smoothly.
  • Stay updated on current regulations and policies related to payroll procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is a must
  • Experience in processing bi-weekly payroll is required
  • Understanding and experience of special payroll deductions
  • Solid knowledge of general accounting principles, multi-state payroll tax laws, and procedures
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills.
