Description:
Skeena Resources Limited is a Canadian exploration mining company, focused on working towards the restart of the past-producing Eskay Creek gold-silver mine with additional development projects in our portfolio, all located in Tahltan Territory in the Golden Triangle of northwest British Columbia, Canada. Eskay Creek was the highest-grade gold mine in the world when in production. The mine produced 3.3 million ounces of gold and 160 million ounces of silver at average grades of 45 g/t gold and 2,224 g/t silver from 1994-2008.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner designation or actively working towards one.
- Proficiency in UKG payroll software (or similar) and Microsoft Excel is a strong asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to problem-solve and address concerns in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and processing of full-cycle semi-monthly payroll for 200+ employees (salary & hourly) accurately and on time.
- Verify employee hours worked in the system and resolve any discrepancies promptly prior to transmission to ensure accuracy of all information in a timely manner.
- Administer monthly benefits reconciliation to ensure all taxable benefits are accurately recorded for T4 purposes and compliance.
- Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes to enhance overall efficiency, accuracy, effectiveness.
- Process Records of Employment and submit electronically to Service Canada.
- Main point of contact for payroll queries.
- Assist with year-end procedures, including internal and external audits, to ensure all payroll-related activities are properly documented.
- Support with monthly, quarterly payroll accounting and payroll journal entries.
- Assist in preparing and ensuring payroll related remittances and filings are completed in a timely manner including EHT, WCB, and taxes.
- Ensure payroll processing complies with the Employment Standards Act, staying updated on any changes to the legislation to maintain ongoing compliance.
- Perform other duties as required.
