Description:

We are looking for a meticulous Payroll Coordinator to join our team in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, located in West Allis, Wisconsin. As a Payroll Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for preparing and processing payroll, managing time banks, and ensuring effective management of salary inputs, amongst other duties. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles for various personnel
  • Import and validate work hours from the accounting system into the payroll system
  • Ensure effective management of vacation pay, sick leave banks, and floating vacations
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and respond to employment insurance queries
  • Manage the process of audits and compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley 404
  • Prepare month-end reports in compliance with deadlines and check requisitions
  • Verify and post employment records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Serve as the primary contact for all payroll-related matters, both internally and externally
  • Participate in the compliance management of year-end processes
  • Maintain and manage payroll-related documents and records.
  • Possess strong skills in Documentation and Compliance Management
  • Proficiency in Payroll Functions, including Accounting Entries and Month-end Reports
  • Ability to handle Insurance matters, Pension Plans, and Union Dues
  • Knowledge and experience in Auditing and Sarbanes Oxley 404 Compliance
  • Familiarity with ‘About Time’ software and QA Management
  • Proficiency in managing Salary Structures, Requisitions, and Accounting Functions
  • Experience in managing Compliance and Payroll related activities
  • Ability to Answer queries and provide solutions promptly
  • Good understanding of Statistics as applicable to Payroll Coordination
  • Experience in handling CSST (Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail)
  • Capability to manage Floating schedules and tasks efficiently.
