“Your day to day”

Be part of the LA Regional Payroll Team and ensure alignment and best practices within the LA region.

  • Perform in accurate and timely manner pre-payroll, payroll and post-payroll activities, including check of data completeness, T&A, and consistency, data consolidation, justification of variances, and reporting for Canada
  • Process all payroll including (but not limited to) scheduled bi-weekly / semi-monthly payrolls for salaried employees, bonus, commission, and off-cycle payroll run
  • Review HR PI files. Keep track of wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
  • Execute and evidence payroll controls in accordance with SOX requirements and Payroll Procedures and keep track of key activities by filling in checklists and reviewing payroll reports.
  • Execute payroll tasks according to established KPIs and SLAs.
  • Address or escalate issues in payroll in cooperation with local payroll teams and payroll vendors.
  • Perform all controls prior to payroll sign-off by.
  • Respond to customers within agreed time frame, escalate complex requests.
  • Maintain adequate level of knowledge in order to ensure accurate and timely payroll processes.
  • Cooperate with counterparts in the affiliate and with Payroll Provider.
  • Participate in new vendor selection when applicable, and implementation of new systems.

Who we’re looking for

  • English: Fluent. French: basic/intermediate
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations, understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
  • SAP knowledge
  • Detail oriented & strong analytical skill
  • Ability to effectively communicate with individuals across multiple levels of the organization
  • Sound judgment in dealing with sensitive and confidential information
