Description:

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Payroll Director in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role is within the non-profit sector and will involve overseeing and implementing various accounting and HRIS systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple payroll processes and ensuring the accuracy of all transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of accounting functions, particularly involving Lawson software.
  • Manage the transition of the accounting system to July in the upcoming year.
  • Utilize Oracle RED ROVER HRIS for time tracking and other HR functions.
  • Handle payroll processes including bi-weekly, monthly, off-cycle, and longevity payrolls.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy of all payroll transactions.
  • Utilize HR Payroll Systems to manage and track employee data.
  • Oversee the processing of W2 forms for employees.
  • Implement and manage the Lawson HRIS system.
  • Handle accounting functions related to employee benefits.
  • Manage multiple payroll processes simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Proficient in Accounting Functions and Auditing
  • Extensive experience in Benefit Functions
  • Knowledge of Lawson and Lawson HRIS
  • Expertise in managing bi-Monthly Payroll
  • Familiarity with HR Payroll System
  • Experience in handling and processing W2 forms
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • Prior experience in a similar role in the non-profit sector
  • Proficiency in using MS Office Suite and other payroll related software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong understanding of payroll taxes and employment laws.
