JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Under broad direction, provides leadership and directs global payroll functions across Finance Global Business Services (GBS) and country finance operations
  • Oversees payroll end-to-end process & develops process roadmap and vision
  • Develops and translates strategy into operational goals, objectives, and process roadmap; reassessing on a periodic basis
  • Drives Continuous Improvement (CI) in Payroll operations through collaboration across process stakeholders to drive standardization, automation, training, and change management
  • Develops and maintains Service Level Agreement (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to monitor performance and process health against agreed upon targets
  • Defines and maintains the process and control standards documentation, including building process level controls and any other controls to ensure strong internal controls environment
  • Collaborates across the business, functions, data owners, and peers to ensure consistency and alignment across policy, process, and data including appropriate training
  • Creates business cases for proposed payroll projects and coordinates forecasting, budgeting, and annual plan preparation

REQUIREMENTS

  • Applies payroll skills acquired through completion of an accounting, business, or engineering university degree and fifteen (15) years of progressive experience in payroll related roles, to include management experience
  • Deep functional expertise in payroll process and operations
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in a large multi-national organization
  • Familiarity with common office environment and key business systems including SAP, ADP GlobalView, SAP SuccessFactors, ADP Workforce Manager (WFM), Kronos Dimensions or similar applications
  • Demonstrates advanced levels of proficiency with business, industry, and company acumen, as well as performance management and leadership skills gained through diverse experience and multiple roles within payroll, HR, IT, finance, or accounting.

Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available from Sr Manager, Corporate Accounting to Director, Corporate Accounting.

Responsibilities:

The Payroll Global Process Owner (GPO) oversees global end-to-end payroll processes and owns the development and implementation of the global payroll process enhancement roadmap.
