Description:
SUMMARY:
Have ownership of accurate biweekly Payroll processing. To be successful as a payroll coordinator you should be able to efficiently coordinate payroll tasks and strictly follow company policies and legal regulations. An outstanding payroll coordinator should also possess strong people skills.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, Associates Degree Required and 3+ years’ experience in payroll processing. Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now preferred. Experience in administration of diverse benefits and not for profit experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining HRIS System:
- Accurate and timely entry of new employees into ADP system. Ensuring all necessary documents have been correctly completed.
- Processing employee terminations in ADP in an accurate and timely manner.
- Updating HRIS information for promotions, transfers in an accurate and timely manner.
- Running audits to ensure integrity of data in HRIS system is accurate. Making corrections as needed.
- Payroll Processing:
- Calculating Pro-rated pay for ALL new hires, terminations and promotions, including vacation payout for terminations.
- Recording and maintaining employee records and payroll transactions. i.e. timesheets, direct deposit forms, and other documents.
- Respond to requests for wage information; set up garnishments, child support and tax levy’s in accordance with legal requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax, and deduction laws.
- Reporting
- Preparing complex data reports for Senior Staff and HR Team, for management and auditing purposes.
- Other duties as assigned.
