Responsibilities:

  • Always maintain a Safety Mindset and contribute to a Positive Workplace Culture.
  • Assist and collaborate with the Development Manager to implement Human Resources initiatives and projects.
  • Develop and maintain payroll procedures to ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Collect and verify employee timekeeping data, including hours worked, leave, and overtime.
  • Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes and benefits.
  • Prepare and distribute paychecks and payroll reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial (where applicable) payroll regulations.
  • Assist in recruitment processes, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
  • Perform data entry and maintain employee records and ensure data integrity in HRIS and filing systems.
  • Support onboarding processes for new hires.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits and maintain up-to-date benefits information.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Develop and generate regular payroll and HR reports for management review.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Assist in audits related to payroll and Human Resources.
  • Stay current on payroll best practices and changes in employment legislation.
  • Participate in training and development activities as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as required
