Description:

South Coast Nursing Homes is an established and successful, family owned and managed, care home company based in Worthing, West Sussex.
We currently operate 9 homes across East and West Sussex. We currently have 411 beds. Each registered home offers the highest standards of resident care and comfort, 24 hours - day and night, for long and short-term stays.
Reporting into the Head of Finance, working within head office in Worthing, this role will manage the day-to-day operation of our busy payroll function for up to 610 employees covering Head Office and all of our residential and nursing homes within the group, using our market leading people software Dayforce.
Hours: 25 per week, ideally 9.30am-2.30pm - Monday to Friday – however would open to suggestion on this. This is not a hybrid role.

Essential Skills

  • Previous Payroll experience preferably within a multi-site organisation.
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills.
  • High level of attention to detail with a conscientious, diligent approach.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive can-do attitude

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure every member of staff is paid accurately and on time each month.
  • Produce monthly payroll reports and commentary for the Directors.
  • Support the Home Administration team to ensure accuracy in respect of absence, timesheets, shift patterns and contract changes.
  • Administer the NEST Pension Scheme and maintain HMRC records.
  • Process monthly Payroll Journals in the Accounting System and undertake monthly Control Account reconciliations.
  • Help ensure Payroll Compliance across the business.
  • Manage day to day Payroll queries.
