Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
As our Payroll Manager, you’ll be a key leader within our Payroll team, ensuring payroll processes are delivered with precision, efficiency, and full compliance. You’ll oversee our payroll operations to ensure Origin employees are paid accurately and on time, while championing continuous improvement and delivering exceptional service to all stakeholders. Key responsibilities:
- Leading payroll operations: overseeing accurate and timely salary payments, bonuses, superannuation, tax, and deductions.
- Managing audits, compliance and risks: ensuring adherence to relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, and company policies while mitigating risks through robust controls.
- Partnering for improvement: working collaboratively across teams to refine payroll processes and resolve system issues.
- Driving team success: mentoring and guiding a high-performing payroll team, fostering adaptability, and maintaining alignment with business priorities.
- Leading system testing and enhancements: overseeing system testing and enhancement activities.
To succeed in this role, you’ll have exceptional leadership experience and a proven ability to build and manage high-performing teams. With comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements. You will have demonstrated ability to work with complex enterprise agreements in a large matrix organisation. You will also have;
- Proven track record in delivering complex payroll in large organisations
- Extensive experience with SAP payroll, SuccessFactors and WFS.
- Excellent communication, attention to detail, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with curiosity and adaptability to new technologies.
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Experience in the energy or utilities sector and exposure to agile working environments would be advantageous but not essential
