Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Manager in the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry. The role is based in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. As a Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and orchestrating payroll procedures, leading and guiding our payroll team, and maintaining meticulous financial records.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize payroll systems, ensuring utilization of technology for effective process streamlining.
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring all employees receive their compensation in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Lead and support a team of payroll professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring consistent exceptional results.
- Play a pivotal role during acquisitions or mergers in integrating payroll processes and systems.
- Implement new payroll systems or software to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct audits regularly to verify the accuracy of payroll data and ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and company policies.
- Manage all aspects of payroll from time tracking to tax compliance.
- Collaborate with auditors and oversee payroll tax audit processes.
- Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently.
- Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account status.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in payroll management, preferably within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industry.
- Mastery in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now.
- Proficiency in ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode and Ceridian.
- Experience in using Crystal Reports.
- Knowledge and experience in 401k - RRSP Administration.
- Familiarity with About Time software.
- Strong understanding of accounting functions.
- Experience in auditing.
- Ability to manage benefit functions.
- Hands-on experience in full cycle payroll.
- Experience in managing multi-state payroll.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional certification in payroll management is an added advantage.
