Description:

Responsibilities:

The primary responsibilities of the Payroll Officer are to:

  • Assist with data entry to Payroll and Finance systems, set up and update master files in conjunction with information and instructions received from HR, Project management and the Finance department.
  • Assist to update salary increases, adjustments, leave, variable pays and bonus; accurately calculate and record all changes as required, and all data and figures are set up, checked, and submitted on time.
  • Support the process of an onboarding new employees and termination payments for leavers.
  • Process assigned payroll payments accurately and obtain the necessary authorisation for payments. Support the transfer of salary funds to the employees’ bank accounts.
  • Be a part of a timely and accurate processing of semi-monthly and monthly payrolls and preparation for review and approval.
  • Respond to queries from employees and external agencies on payroll and benefits related issues.
  • Ensuring proper filing of all payrolls records and maintains confidentiality of records and updating and maintaining all other employee related records (electronic and paper).
  • Prepare necessary reports to ensure that the company complies with SG reporting requirements, processing superannuation payments, group and payroll tax as per legislation requirements.
  • Ensure timesheets are correctly set up for all staff, administer any related enquiries. Assist in Timesheet processing and
  • General Ledger payroll related entries.
  • Assist Payroll Manager to collate data to perform month-end and year-end reconciliations for Payroll Clearing accounts.
  • Assist with year-end reconciliations and payments for PRT and PAYG.
  • Assist to Produce reports as requested by Management, HR or Finance.
  • Play an active role in improving HR/Payroll work processes.
  • Attendance at team meetings, other requested meetings and regional meetings (e.g. townhalls).
  • Regular (minimum of monthly) one to one meetings with your line manager on the status of personal Key Result Areas (KRAs), career development discussions and any other matters.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Payroll Manager and regional Financial Controller.
