Description:

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Working knowledge of current UK employment and tax legislation and all statutory payments such as SMP, SPP, and SSP
  • Part or fully CIPP qualified or other equivalent payroll qualification with training support available for the right candidate
  • Able to compute manual payroll calculations when required
  • Good IT skills. (Our payrolls are prepared using spreadsheets; you will therefore need to be fully confident in the use of formulae)
  • Working knowledge of pensions and salary sacrifice would be desirable

ABOUT THE ROLE

Hidden Hearing are a private hearing healthcare company, who have been in business for more than 50 years and our aim is to make a real difference to people suffering from Hearing loss.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager you will ensure all employees are renumerated (salary and benefits) in accordance with terms and conditions and ensuring processing is accurate and compliant.

  • Based at our Maidstone Support Centre (Hybrid role once training is complete)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process a designated section of three payrolls during the month consisting of circa 20, 300, and 300 employees respectively

  • Process starters, leavers, adjustments, overtime, commissions, and holiday pay
  • Liaise with managers and staff across the business to check and confirm monthly, quarterly and annual bonusses and commissions from both system-generated reports and ad-hoc requests
  • Answer and resolve staff queries relating to pay and benefits in a timely manner
  • PSA tax recording
  • P11d reporting
  • Create and distribute reports for management as required
  • Work closely with the Management Accountants to ensure completeness and accuracy of reporting
  • Various other ad-hoc tasks consistent with the level of the role
