ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role, you will have relevant qualifications and/or relevant work experience within an equivalent role.
We’re seeking applications from experienced and confident Payroll professionals who demonstrate a strong commitment to providing trusted, accurate, timely and confidential payroll services to employees.
You will have/be:
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- A proven ability to apply industrial awards and legislation relevant to payroll
- Significant experience processing end to end payroll including rostered, salaried, and casual staff covered by various agreement types and conditions
- Have a proven ability to apply industrial awards and legislation relevant to payroll
- Proven experience with a variety of payroll systems
- Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills with site workers to address anything timesheet/payroll related
- Experience in processing overtime and site allowances
- Outstanding problem-solving skills, high attention to detail and ability to work autonomously, under pressure and to deadlines
- Advanced computing skills including the use of Microsoft programs, in particular Excel
It would be ideal if you have an understanding and working knowledge of Viewpoint or M1 payroll systems.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of all weekly payrolls on Wednesdays, including any employee timesheet queries
- Review and updating of timesheets as required
- Maintain and ensure data integrity of payroll information is up to date and correct
- Preparation/file set up of new employees and terminations
- Review and reporting of payroll liabilities, including LSL Board, Return to Work, Superannuation, Child Support, BIRST, Income protection, PAYG, payroll tax, apprentice rebates
- Management and resolution of employee and external agency queries
- Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll reports
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standard forms, policies and templates
- Any tasks as directed by the Managing Director/Finance Manage
