Description:

Due to an internal promotion, we’re looking for a customer focussed Payroll Officer to support the People Services Centre (PSC) at the National Trust. You’ll play a key part in the day-to-day delivery of our payroll provision, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements.
We’d love to hear from you if you’re customer focused, solutions led and proactive.
What it’s like to work here:We’re bigger than you think, we’re more complicated than we appear and we’re larger scale than you’d imagine. We’ve got dedicated people in our teams, and we’ve got so much more we want to achieve. We’re for everyone, for ever, and we really mean that.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you’re based at other times. You’ll be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you’ll be doing:Under the leadership of the Payroll Team Leader, you’ll administer Payroll processes for all employee lifecycle activities. You’ll support and share expertise with customers and colleagues to ensure best practice is followed and be expected to solve problems, directly responding to customer queries.
You’ll take responsibility for transacting payroll and the preparation for authorisation to BACS and be responsible for testing system and process changes, actively participating in continuous improvement activities.
The People Service Centre is “one team” so you’ll have the opportunity to work on other people related activities when needed.
