Description:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Payroll Processor to join our team. We have 1000 employees, 32 locations and growing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing payroll for our employees, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role requires strong organizational skills, a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Processor or in a similar role (minimum of [X] years).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and policies, including tax regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Oasis, Paychex, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • PEO experience a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll on a bi-weekly basis, including calculating hours worked, overtime pay, and deductions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payments to employees, contractors, and third-party vendors.
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or deductions.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports, including summaries, tax liabilities, and deductions.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end payroll documents, such as W-2s and 1099s.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues, discrepancies, and policy information.
  • Stay updated on changes in federal, state, and local payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to ensure payroll discrepancies are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Participate in audits related to payroll processing and ensure documentation is accurate and organized.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of payroll software and systems.
