We are looking for a Payroll Specialist (m/w/d) based in Mölnlycke, Sweden (#LI-Onsite) to expertly manage all aspects of Swedish payroll and taxation. You will ensure accurate submission of payroll information to our external provider, promptly address any discrepancies, and play a key role in processing payroll efficiently. As the primary payroll contact, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with employees and suppliers while providing essential payroll support to relevant company functions.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • Experience in a matrix organization or Center of Excellence
  • Familiarity with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and time and attendance systems ( Oracle HCM and timekeeping software FLEX )

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Payroll Management: Complete end-to-end payroll processing activities for employees, including data entry, calculations of salaries, bonuses, and deductions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established deadlines. Responsible for matrix interactions with local HR, HR operations and the outsourcing partner to ensure effective handle of payroll management.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on Swedish labor laws, tax regulations, and social security requirements to ensure compliance in all payroll-related activities. Interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations appropriately. Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive payroll information.
  • Tax Management: Calculate and process tax withholdings, including income tax, social security contributions, and other statutory deductions in compliance with Swedish tax laws. Coordinate with tax authorities as necessary.
  • Benefit Administration: Lead employee benefits administration, including pensions, insurance, and other fringe benefits, ensuring accurate deductions and contributions in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Employee Inquiries: Address employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and benefits promptly and accurately. Provide excellent customer service to resolve issues and concerns effectively.
  • Reporting: Generate payroll reports, including earnings statements, tax filings, and other relevant reports for internal and external collaborators. Prepare and submit statutory reports to regulatory authorities as required.
  • Process Improvement: See opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in payroll operations. Implement best way of working to streamline processes and enhance accuracy and timeliness.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in end-to-end payroll management , with in-depth knowledge of Swedish labor laws, taxation, and statutory compliance
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems as well as with Microsoft Office applications
  • Solid understanding of financial principles, including the ability to reconcile payroll with financial records and handle audits and compliance assessments & CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement), such as Teknikavtalet
  • Proficiency in Swedish and English
