Role: Payroll Specialist
Compensation package: £38,000 basic (£40,000 OTE)
Office location: Old Trafford, Manchester, M16 0PQ (Hybrid)
Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8.45am - 5.15pm

As a Payroll Assistant, you will be dealing with incoming phone and email enquiries in a knowledgeable, courteous, professional, and efficient manner. You will also assist the Payroll Manager and other colleagues with various projects and tasks and be prepared to take on additional responsibilities in our rapidly expanding organisation.
QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working in a Finance/Payroll Department
- Experience working on finance/payroll systems, Sage Payroll experience would be beneficial
- Effective time management and a good team player
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good level of computer literacy - Microsoft Excel is essential
- Good communication skills
- Be able to work accurately and calmly, and show resilience, when under pressure
- Be able to work collaboratively with colleagues within the business and with key contacts in other organisations; have a proven ability to work as a member of a team

Responsibilities:
- Input payroll data accurately and efficiently, prioritising the workload to meet the deadlines of the various payrolls.
- Check authenticity of payroll data, ensuring appropriate authorisation is present and all relevant information has been provided.
- Check and verify the details of expense claims to ensure compliance with policy and procedures.
- Respond to payroll queries, liaising with other team members as required to resolve any issues.
- Produce bespoke correspondence detailing individual circumstances or explanations of rules and procedures in a clear and effective manner. Ensure the content of all correspondence complies with General Data Protection Regulation and that any personal information provided is correct and adequate for purpose.
