Description:
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our team. The role is based in Northern Kentucky and involves overseeing payroll processing and related functions in our organization. This role is critical in ensuring that all payroll activities are carried out efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities:
- Process company payroll on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly basis.
- Calculate and process garnishments including levies, child support, student loans etc.
- Assist with the accurate preparation and distribution of payroll taxes.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and employment laws and best practices.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns.
- Prepare and file monthly and quarterly payroll taxes accurately
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in processing payroll.
- Proven experience in processing garnishments and taxes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - MS Excel in particular.
- A thorough understanding of payroll tax-related laws.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to relay information clearly and concisely.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
