Description:
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Battle Creek, Michigan. This role is in the industry of human resources, with a blend of remote and on-site work, particularly on Mondays.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full cycle payroll process for under 100 employees.
- Utilize QuickBooks online for payroll and other related tasks.
- Handle the processing and detailed review of payroll.
- Engage in applicant screening using online job boards such as Indeed.
- Perform benefit functions related to payroll.
- Ensure accurate, up-to-date records of all payroll activities.
- Use Bamboo for managing HR-related tasks.
- Assist with onboarding and recruiting processes.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role
- Proficiency in Benefit Functions, including managing employee benefits and understanding legal requirements
- Experience with Quickbooks Online, demonstrating the ability to manage and process payroll
- Expertise in Full Cycle Payroll, encompassing all aspects from data collection to issuing payments
- Experience in handling Payroll for under 100 Employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Demonstrated ability to Process Payroll, including computing wages and deductions
- Familiarity with Bamboo HR software, showcasing the ability to track and manage HR data
- Proficiency in using Indeed for recruitment and applicant tracking purposes
- Ability to conduct a detailed review of payroll, spotting any discrepancies or errors
- Experience in Applicant Screening, demonstrating the ability to assess and shortlist candidates
