Description:
Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Specialist on behalf of our client, a reputable distribution company based in Otay Mesa. In this role, the Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing payroll for approximately 200 employees using ADP and Kronos systems. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic organization and contribute to the growth of their payroll team. Bilingual Spanish skills are highly preferred to support our client’s diverse workforce.
This immediate Payroll Specialist opportunity is on-site in Otay Mesa, contract or contract-to-hire. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish. This position begins immediately!
Key Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly payroll for 200 employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
Utilize ADP and Kronos to manage timekeeping, payroll calculations, and adjustments.
Verify employee timesheets, tracking time, PTO, overtime, and deductions to maintain accuracy.
Collaborate with HR to onboard new employees into payroll systems and ensure proper record maintenance.
Handle payroll tax filings, garnishments, and other special payroll deductions.
Reconcile payroll reports, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
Provide payroll support and respond to employee inquiries regarding paychecks, deductions, and payroll processes.
Stay up-to-date on federal, state, and local payroll requirements to ensure compliance.
2+ years of payroll processing experience in a mid-sized company, ideally within distribution or a similar industry.
Proficiency with ADP and Kronos systems required.
Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred .
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and customer-service-oriented skills, capable of working effectively with employees at all levels.
