Description:
Hannah Savage with Robert Half has an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist in Rochester, New York. The role is with an organization in the healthcare field and involves overseeing payroll operations across multiple sites and coordinating with HR and accounting departments. This position is central to maintaining smooth financial operations within our team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing of high-volume payroll operations across multiple sites
- Collaborate closely with other payroll specialists and accounting professionals
- Liaise with the HR department as needed to ensure seamless payroll operations
- Perform general office administration tasks as required
- Utilize skills in ADP Workforce Now, Benefit Functions, Payroll, and Office Administration to enhance job performance
- Stay updated on changes in payroll and tax laws to ensure compliance
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to payroll
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records
- Assist in other HR-related tasks as necessary, leveraging knowledge in HR and benefits
- Provide excellent customer service in resolving employee inquiries related to payroll

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a payroll specialist role or similar.
- Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of benefit functions.
- Strong skills in payroll management and processing.
- Experience in office administration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
- Certification from the American Payroll Association is a plus.
