Description:

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the treasury manager, this role will oversee a team of Payroll Clerks and/or Accountants, ensuring smooth and efficient payroll operations while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.

As a Payroll Supervisor , you will:

  • Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and employee development.
  • Oversee and coordinate payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in wage calculations, tax withholdings, and other deductions.
  • Maintain up-to-date payroll records, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Research and resolve payroll-related issues, providing timely support to employees and management.
  • Develop and implement best practices to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external providers to ensure seamless payroll operations.
  • Participate in special projects and serve on committees as assigned.
  • Prepare and present payroll reports to management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll administration or a related area.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
  • Proficiency in business communication in English. Additional European languages skills are an advantage.
