Description:
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the treasury manager, this role will oversee a team of Payroll Clerks and/or Accountants, ensuring smooth and efficient payroll operations while maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
As a Payroll Supervisor , you will:
- Lead and manage a team, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and employee development.
- Oversee and coordinate payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in wage calculations, tax withholdings, and other deductions.
- Maintain up-to-date payroll records, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Research and resolve payroll-related issues, providing timely support to employees and management.
- Develop and implement best practices to enhance payroll efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external providers to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Participate in special projects and serve on committees as assigned.
- Prepare and present payroll reports to management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll administration or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of payroll tax laws, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency in business communication in English. Additional European languages skills are an advantage.
