DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate payroll person responsible for managing and taking ownership of the payroll function, systems and processes to ensure accuracy of pay related information. If you are a data savvy system whiz and possess strong analytical skills, we want to hear from you. Working within our Corporate Services team you will enjoy the variety this role brings along with a strong team culture. We are offering a salary base of $90,000 plus Superannuation.
Develop and maintain Payroll Knowledge Manuals to ensure they are current with process, policy and legislative changes.
- Ensure consistent application of company policy and legislation for all payroll payment
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the complete payroll process end to end to ensure accuracy of payments.
- Update the payroll system including but not limited to creation of new pay elements and leave types.
- Manage system pay rule accuracy in line with the Enterprise Agreement and company policy.
Complete end to end fortnightly payroll processing for approximately 350 team members under salaried and enterprise agreement arrangements using multiple software packages.
Ensure payroll is processed in compliance with the GCCEC Enterprise Agreement and legislation requirements.
Conduct post payroll audits and reconciliation of information to ensure data accuracy.
- Complete end of financial year processing and requirements in line with Single Touch Payroll and legislation.
Develop and maintain Payroll Knowledge Manuals to ensure they are current with process, policy and legislative changes.
- Ensure consistent application of company policy and legislation for all payroll payments
Perform data analysis and reporting activities to support business decision making in partnership with Finance
Develop contingency plans for payroll processing as part of business continuity.
