Job Description
We’re looking for a Payroll Tax Analyst, with a keen eye for accuracy, attention to detail and a desire to share your analytic skills and knowledge with our Global Payroll Team.
Reporting to the Global Payroll Tax Lead, you’ll have an understanding of global payroll tax, its overall function, and how our team provides excellent service to others. You’ll be responsible for the accurate, effective, and timely processing of your payroll tax analysis for each tax submission.
Your Mission:
This exciting role will join a team responsible for the overall global payroll tax process, including compliance, internal audit, and reconciliation across multiple countries for Wise. You’ll complete a variety of daily, weekly, monthly, annual, and ad-hoc tasks to ensure your payroll tax analysis are processed in accordance ahead of submission deadlines.
This role will include partnering with our rewards team, and third party tax advisor to strive for accuracy, reduce errors, and process payroll tax more efficiently. You will partner to develop robust & detailed processes to ensure the execution of payroll tax in an effective, efficient, and timely manner. Cross-training will be key!
This amazing role will also participate by providing a variety of deliverables, including global projects, pre-post payroll reconciliations, internal audits, and more. Also, you will provide input regarding team goals, KPIs, efficiencies, process improvements, and future optimisation of our payroll team - all while providing outstanding customer service. Always.
Responsibilities:
- You’ll be working as a part of a wider Global Payroll Team, servicing 25+ countries using Workday (HRIS), while focusing specifically on global tax analysis
- You’ll prepare, double-check, cross-check, review and analyse payroll tax calculations according to the established deadlines
- You’ll prepare bi-weekly/ monthly stock data to the payroll specialists accurately and timely
- You’ll assist payroll reconciliation monthly with high attention to details and accuracy
- You’ll be responsible to ensure the timely submission of the basic tax analysis within internal deadline set by your lead
- You’ll partner with your Lead to document new approaches, policy and procedure changes towards continuous improvement on global payroll tax
- You’ll be responsible for all documentation within your analysis files
- Continue to increase subject matter expertise on your allocated tasks, on all payroll tax and ad-hoc matters, providing support, as needed, to others
- Work with the Payroll team and the Global Payroll Tax Lead to provide additional processing/transaction support, as needed
