THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Payroll Time & Benefits Team Lead, you will responsible for leading a Payroll, Time and Benefits (PTB) operations team covering multiple countries (country cluster) and performing all people leadership related activities independently and effectively in line with the Roche People Practices. You ensure all the in-scope country PTB performance is at high standard on team and individual level and that regular operations- reviews are held internally as well as externally with relevant stakeholders.
You enable the new global PTB operating model transition and implementation in the region, and help evolve the PTB team setup along with the transformation for efficiency and effectiveness.

On top of these your responsibilities, you are the country PTB manager for Hungary, owning payroll tax related decisions, immigration policies and processes and benefits vendor relationships and decisions, on behalf of Roche Services (Europe) Ltd., with around 2,500 employees in scope.

  • Lead and manage a cross-country Payroll, Time and Benefits operations team (including local PTB owners who are non-PTB resources) by delivering best services and solutions towards the clients. Pro-actively analyzing the challenges and potential risks for solutions and preventive actions. Ensuring delivery of services in accordance with agreed performance levels and in line with country legal/regulations (compliance), continuously driving significant progress on complex problems and improvement activities/projects. (simplification, standardization, automation) in an independent manner for service excellence and consistent customer experience.
  • Initiate and prioritize the high-impact team focus areas in line with overall People Support Solutions strategy, anticipating and understanding different country business and customer needs, proactively seeking better/creative solutions as well as leveraging advanced technology to continually drive cross-country teamwork efficiency and enhance customer experience.
  • In line with the Roche People Practices, mentor and enhance team member’s knowledge, skills, capabilities in order to retain and develop talented staff.
  • Manage and sustain a win-win partnering relationship with across level stakeholders, regional & global PTB community, P&C chapters, external vendors, influencing decisions with factors and solutions, as well as monitor the vendor performance for improvement through routine and/or project work.
  • Engage relevant stakeholders to lead decision making on a national level in Hungary with regards all pay, time and absence and benefits topics.
  • Lead PTB team and local PTB owners (non-PTB resources) to ensure consistent and reliable service delivery for customers serviced. Responsible for customer satisfaction within the area of responsibility, pro-actively providing feedback/inputs to stakeholders from a service perspective.
  • Partner within other P&C chapter AOPs and Service teams (e.g. Advisory, PST, ELM teams) for cross functional & cross chapter end to end delivery and process improvement.
