Accelerated Systems Inc. (ASI) is a clean energy innovation company. A global Designer and Manufacturer of fully integrated electric vehicle Drive Systems including electric motors, motor controllers, battery systems and custom hardware.
We specialize in autonomous controls and the electrification of equipment that is currently powered by internal combustion engines thereby providing the world with a greener, cleaner choice for their eBikes, eMotorcycles, eScooters, golf cars, outdoor power equipment, and electric utility vehicles.

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for developing and supporting automated tests for PCBAs.
The successful candidate will extend their influence out to our product design, quality, manufacturing, support and purchasing teams, and beyond.
This is an in-office position in our Waterloo office, not remote or hybrid.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Applied Science or Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university
  • A key contributor in 5 or more development projects
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Proficiency in one or more common programming language ie. Python, Issue tracking(Git),
  • Ability & willingness to travel outside Canada – valid passport required
  • Flexibility in work hours due to time zones
  • Excellent communication skills in english, both written & verbal
  • Project Management skills an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Design groups and the New Product Introduction team to define the test strategies for new product developments
  • Design and deploy product test infrastructure including hardware and software.
  • Define and negotiate test deliverables with the Product Designers, New Product Introduction teams and Program Managers
  • Advise on product design to improve test coverage and reliability
  • Support the manufacturing group in debugging and analyzing product failures
  • Support existing test platforms locally and through contacts at contract manufacturing sites including after hours problem solving and technical support.
  • Support with development of internal test equipment for validation activities
  • Enhance current test capability by improving functionality, reliability and efficiency of existing test equipment and by introducing or developing new equipment or software to meet the needs of product test requirements
  • Provide reports as needed for test results/summaries.
