Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Coordinator serves as a key support in ensuring effective, efficient, and professional operations for Ambulatory Pediatrics. S/he will collaborate with Ambulatory and Department leadership, multiple staff stakeholders and faculty while performing complex administrative duties that support the efficient function of Ambulatory Pediatrics. This role is part of the core administrative team and requires strong analytical, communication skills and ability to operate independently.
This role provides project coordination support directly to Senior Leadership of Ambulatory Pediatrics including but not limited to: Ambulatory Medical Directors, Ambulatory Nursing Director, and Clinic Flow Director.

EDUCATION:

  • Requires Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of formal education and experience).

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant post-collegiate professional experience required. Previous project coordination also preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Ability to work independently, to prioritize work, to anticipate deadlines, and to concentrate on and pay attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills; takes initiative to anticipates problems; seeks solutions proactively.
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills; pleasant, courteous, and helpful telephone manner and professional demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills necessary to be socially perceptive in accepting, relaying, and respecting confidential information, communicating policies and procedures, and dealing with individuals from variety of disciplines and diverse backgrounds. Ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as outside clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Requires strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills, office organizational skills, and computer literacy necessary for entering and manipulating statistical data, creating schedules, and maintaining detailed, accurate, and complete records of departmental activities and confidential personnel/training records.
  • Must be able to maintain strict protocols of all confidential or sensitive information
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work with confidential information.
