We have an exciting opportunity for 2 full-time temporary Pension and Benefits Representatives to join our People team in Langley, BC.
These temporary positions are expected to last 12 months and 18 months.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Pension, Benefits & Disability, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for the People Services department in relation to pension and benefits acting as a subject matter expert and responding to inquiries from internal team members, retirees, and external clients.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative support for the Defined Benefit Pension Plan (DBPP) including the calculation of benefits using the in-house Pension Administration System.
  • Providing administrative support for the Defined Contribution Pension Plan (DCPP) and Group RRSP/TFSA products.
  • Answering and responding to inquiries from team members, retirees and external clients related to pension and benefits using ServiceNow to manage tickets and incoming inquiries.
  • Helping to resolve benefit issues and claims with the various benefit carriers.
  • Running weekly and monthly reports, and processes using Workday for both internal and external customers and processing adjustments and corrections as needed.
  • Preparing written communication using MS Word, Outlook email, and Teams.
  • Educating team members on their benefit plans and coverages.
  • Maintaining employee records in Workday and other systems as required.
  • Benefits administration duties, such as maintenance of benefits documentation and plan information on a variety of benefit plans/divisions.
  • Performing other benefit, pension duties as required and at times, assisting the claims team.

You have:

  • 1-3 years of previous office administration experience, ideally with a background in pension and benefits.
  • Proficiency with Office 365 including, Teams, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Workday is an asset.
  • An understanding of Employment Standards and collective agreements as they relate to employee benefit and pension programs.
  • Completed or working towards a CEBS designation is an asset.
