Description:
Do you have a working knowledge of defined benefit and defined contribution pension schemes? Then join our Pensions Team as an Administrator.
This a full-time role as part of a small team who work hybridly.
Responsibilities:
Providing an effective and efficient pensions administration service to members of the University¿s three main defined benefit pension schemes in accordance with pension scheme rules, statutory requirements and University policies.
Completing day to day administrative processes as allocated, including performing automated and manual calculations, preparing communications and also checking and reviewing benefit calculations and communications prepared by other members of the Pensions Team.
Processing a wide variety of documents in accordance with the various schemes¿ rules, regulations and administrative guidelines.
Processing complex data sets in excel to provide accurate data and information to external pension providers.
Maintaining excellent communications with pension scheme members, internal colleagues and external organisations.
Monitoring the effectiveness of pension procedures and communications, recommending and implementing improved arrangements as appropriate.
You will hold at least three GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics
You will be highly numerate, analytical and proficient in standard software packages, particularly Excel. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are also essential, including the ability to explain pension regulations and procedures effectively to all scheme members. You must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, whilst paying attention to detail and achieving high levels of accuracy. You will also be required to work on your own initiative within the scope of your role.
