There is an excellent opportunity to join the award-winning Dyfed Pension Fund team who has vacancy for an enthusiastic, self-motivated Pensions Officer. The Dyfed Pension Fund administers the Local Government Pension Scheme for a number of employers, and the Police and Fire Pension Schemes.

We are a busy section and pride ourselves in providing the best service we can to our pension scheme members and pensioners. We need someone who has the willingness to learn new skills and to contribute to the future development of our work. Your duties will include:

  • To perform accurate calculations in all areas of pensions administration
  • Ensuring your knowledge on pension regulations and guidelines is current and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Providing guidance and support to employees on pension-related issues,
  • Provide accurate and timely data for a variety of stakeholders.

Candidates should have:

  • Experience in pensions administration or a similar role.
  • Good l numeracy abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication capabilities
  • Good customer service, team working and interpersonal skills.

Initial training will be full time office based for a minimum of 3 months. We also have flexible working hours; flexible start and finish times around ‘core working hours’.
