Description:

ABOUT THE JOB:

As a People Adviser base in Reading, UK (Hybrid) you will be accountable for all employee lifecycle tasks, as well as supporting the wider team on projects, transformation, employee relation issues, family friendly process, absence management, policies, governance and systems, as well as delivering training initiatives to employees and line managers.
Acting as the first point of contact from colleagues, managers, and external parties, you will deliver high quality outcomes ensuring an effective and customer focussed HR Advisory service whilst being pragmatic in people solutions which achieve operational objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Creating and delivering people management training as required to ensure a consistent level of skill in people related matters.
  • Provide global support and advice on TUPE, Family Friendly, Performance management, Absence Management, strategic change initiatives and policy updates, undertaking required research as necessary for the relevant country/territory.
  • Managing the end-to-end starter and on-boarding process, from offer generation, right to work & background checking, processing new starter documentation, managing attendance at various onboarding activities, and delivering these sessions, keeping the Talent Acquisition team updated throughout. Supporting our line management community through every step of the on-boarding to end of probation period, to ensure we drive a best in class on-boarding experience for new hires.
  • Support the People Partner team on global employee relations cases with exposure to larger complex cases.
  • Oversee the full employee life cycle by completing all required documentation to ensure best practice and legal compliance. This will include processing all contract changes, internal moves and management of our leaver process.
  • Working with a shared People team mailbox, you will review and action email correspondence within agreed timescales, through self-governance, task prioritisation, time management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Work with the Head of People Experience and Transformation on the global change initiatives and projects.
  • Produce, analyse and provide monthly payroll input reports as well as ad-hoc reporting requirements for the team.
