Description:

TO TATOU TIKANGA | OUR CULTURE

Our secret ingredient is laughter. We greet the day with positivity and passion, bringing all of ourselves – head, heart, and hands. Building on our shared history and philosophy, we challenge the status quo for the good of all people and the disability sector. We celebrate the uniqueness of every individual – we are all different, and that’s what makes us interesting.

Responsibilities:

We are currently looking for an energetic and proactive People and Capability Advisor to join our dynamic and vibrant team. In the role you will partner directly with leaders across the business where you will foster strong relationships while quickly instilling trust with stakeholders. You are valued by people leaders for your sound advice and working knowledge of employment law to achieve effective and pragmatic people solutions.
You will join a great team who love what we do at Hōhepa, a team who collaborate and are driven by our overarching purpose which is to make a positive difference to people’s lives.
Supported by the wider People and Capability team, there is lots of space for collaboration and innovation. This is a dynamic role, where no two days are the same, so we are looking for a person who thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

In this role you will:

  • Provide advice and guidance on core human resource functions including (but not limited to): employment relations, employee experience, change management, performance management, remuneration, wellbeing, reporting and capability.
  • Proactively work with managers to manage and resolve employment relationship issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Hōhepa’s HR policies and procedures, and legal requirements by helping people leaders understand their people risks and how to effectively manage them.
  • Contribute to the development of initiatives and improvements to people practices, policies and procedures.
  • Cultivate a culture of engagement and a healthy workplace by contributing to the management of the employee engagement survey and performance management process.
  • Have the opportunity to lead, with support, the effective implementation of people projects.
  • Provide support in all stages of the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Maintain our HRIS (Bamboo HR), employee records and documents.

This role is 32 - 40 hours per week, and we’re open to discussing flexible employment practices, including partial working from home and adaptive working hours.
