Job Title: People & Culture Administrator
Position Reports To: Head of People & Culture
Job Location: Ottawa
SkyAlyne is a proud partnership between Canadian aviation and defence leaders, CAE and KF Aerospace, formed to provide a truly Canadian solution for Canada’s Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) Program, Canada’s next-generation military aircrew training program.
SkyAlyne has been selected as contractor for the FAcT Program. The program will be managed from the National Capital Region (Ottawa), with three operational locations: Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan; Southport (Portage la Prairie), Manitoba; and Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The scope of the FAcT Program contract includes all training and in-service support requirements needed to prepare Pilots, Air Combat Systems Officers, and Airborne Electronic Sensor Operators to meet the future aerospace requirements of the Royal Canadian Air Force. In collaboration with the Government of Canada and several major Canadian subcontractors, SkyAlyne will provide live-flying, simulator and classroom-based training, facilities construction and management, information management and information technology support, site support services, aircraft maintenance and much more.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A University Degree or College Diploma in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a similar field.
- Minimum 2 years experience in Human Resources.
- Previous payroll administration experience.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS, benefits, and payroll systems, particularly ADP.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with solid attention to detail.
- A collaborative and professional approach combined with solid confidentiality and discretion.
- Customer-focused and solutions-oriented, always looking for ways to improvement existing processes and add value.
- Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Teams and SharePoint.
- Possess or be actively pursuing a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is considered an asset
- Experience in the Defence and Aerospace industries would be an asset.
- Be able to hold a Government of Canada Security Clearance (Secret level).
- Be able to hold Government of Canada site/information access certifications, including accessing Protected “B” information, Controlled Goods Clearance, and ITAR Clearance.
- Eligible to work in Canada.
- Strong oral and written English language capabilities.
- Fluency in French would be an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain employee data and files in the HR information system (HRIS) system including tracking updates and issuing changes while ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Support timesheet and payroll administration by ensuring payroll and timesheet entries and changes are accurate and completed within the established deadlines.
- Administer group health benefits and pension program including enrollment, reporting employee premiums, managing deductions and contributions.
- Liaise with benefit providers to address member questions and discrepancies.
- Assist in the coordination of recruitment and onboarding activities, acting as a point of contact for new hires.
- Manage all incoming internal employee requests providing timely responses to internal inquiries.
- Provide regular and ad hoc financial related reports to Finance team such as level of effort allocation, various payroll and benefits costs
- Assist with various P&C related reporting and presentations, including on HR metrics in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
- Assist with analyzing data trends, and recommendations and actioning improvements.
- Assist with the development, documentation, and improvement of internal HR processes, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to the team by supporting the People and Culture team with assigned initiatives, projects and ad-hoc HR related activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
