Description:
HYBRID WORKING – 3 DAYS IN THE OFFICE
Supporting circa 150 employees within our Head Office and remotely across the UK, this role would be suitable for a HR Advisor, Senior HR Advisor or Junior Business Partner looking to take the next step in their career.
A true operational generalist role in which you’ll be partnering with key stakeholders throughout Head Office to empower them to achieve their objectives. With a commercial approach and using your generalist experience, you’ll support the Head of P&C with key projects, ensuring BrandAlley is a great place to work.
What will you be doing?
- You’ll play an important part in delivering a great customer service to your business stakeholders, always looking for proactive ways to improve our working culture.
- You’ll be great at coaching managers in the business on key people and culture processes.
- You regularly review our people policies and your own development to ensure these are legally complaint as well as aligned to our culture.
- You use best practice approaches to form key employee engagement / working groups to gather feedback and assist with change in the business.
- You’ll support managers with their organisational design.
- You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end employee lifecycle, from recruiting new employees to succession planning and performance through to offboarding, you’ll make sure managers have teams that are fit for purpose.
- You’ll design and deliver a highly engaging onboarding programme ensuring our new recruits reach maximum productivity as soon as possible.
- You find ways to effectively use the apprenticeship levy within your business area and source external development as required.
- Working with the Head of P&C you’ll design, deliver and maintain the annual review and goal setting process.
- You’ll oversee all ER issues (including grievances & disciplinary cases) whilst building the capabilities of our managers to provide the best guidance and support when required.
- You’ll work on projects, for example, reward and benefits, engagement, CSR etc. within your business area to drive key metrics such as our happiness score and turnover.
- During busy periods, you’ll support the wider P&C team to carry out the basics including contracts, change of terms, reporting, payroll etc.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The good stuff…
- An experienced HR generalist/advisor, looking to take the next step in their career.
- Experience of supporting employment relations cases end-to-end, for example, disciplinary, grievance, consultation etc.
- Experience of working alongside managers on the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding to performance / absence management and offboarding.
- A keen interest and knowledge of employment law, keeping up to date with new legislation.
- Self-motivated, proactive learner who is always striving to improve processes and policies by seeking feedback and new ideas / approaches.
- Able to communicate in a clear and engaging way that influences others, taking time to understand key stakeholders’ preferred approach and needs.
- Passionate about developing others.

- Previous experience working in e-commerce is highly desirable.
- CIPD qualified
