Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE AT SMARTBOX, YOU WILL BE AT THE HEART OF OUR HR OPERATIONS, DRIVING IMPACTFUL CHANGE THROUGH VARIOUS KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruitment and Staffing: From crafting job descriptions to onboarding new hires, you will shape our team with top talent and ensure a smooth start for each member.
  • Employee Relations and Wellbeing: Nurturing a positive workplace, handling grievances, and spearheading wellbeing initiatives to foster a supportive culture.
  • Performance Management: Guiding managers on engaging employees, ensuring fair performance practices, and overseeing review processes.
  • Training and Development: Facilitating training sessions and championing diversity initiatives.
  • Compliance and Legal: Upholding legal standards, managing HR documentation, and ensuring GDPR compliance throughout all HR activities.
  • Operational Responsibilities: Managing day-to-day HR operations, providing insightful reports, and maintaining positive relationships within Smartbox.

TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE AT SMARTBOX, YOU SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCES:

  • CIPD qualified (minimum level 3)
  • Strong grasp of UK employment law, regulations, and best practices
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in HR administration or a related role
  • Proven track record in resolving complex employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Experience in recruitment processes, including sourcing high-caliber candidates and conducting interviews
