In this role you’ll be responsible for:

  • Partnering with stakeholders across the business to identify and implement people strategies that have a meaningful impact on employee performance, engagement and effectiveness
  • Assist in the review, development and implementation of People & Culture policies and procedures in line with business objectives, legislative requirements and contemporary HR practices
  • Provide advice on everything from employee relations, award/enterprise agreement interpretation, organisational effectiveness, talent retention, succession planning, remuneration reviews and performance appraisals
  • Work closely with People and Culture and recruitment professionals to share information so there is a consistency of approach and best practice in people management practices across the Fulton Hogan Utilities business
  • Providing support across a range of activities including recruitment, training, employment contracts, change of circumstances, payroll liaison, timesheets, employee communication and off boarding
  • Deliver best practice advice and guidance on a range of generalist HR matters.

How you’ll connect to the role:

  • Tertiary qualification in the Human Resources/related discipline
  • Previous experience guiding, supporting, coaching and developing leaders and employees in HR matters, ideally in a construction site based environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant HR/industrial relations legislation
  • A passion for driving continuous improvement on HR systems/practices
  • Experience building partnerships within the business to ensure a collaborative approach with all stakeholders
  • Ability to identify key issues & problems and pick the best choice among alternatives
