Description:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7-10 years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Keen knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee & union relations, diversity, performance management.
  • Sound knowledge of federal and provincial labor laws & regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or relevant field.
  • English & French, written & spoken
  • CHRA (Strong asset).
  • Knowledgeable with the principles of ISO9001:2015 standards applicable to assigned functions and role.
  • Takes accountability and supports the team to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality management system.
  • Uses a risk-based approach to identify risks and opportunities which may affect conformity of products and services rendered and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent Interpersonal & customer facing skills
  • Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Inputs on business unit restructuring, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Collaborates with managers to create and implement development plans for employees, focusing on skill enhancement and career growth.
  • Promotes a culture of continuous feedback and improvement by encouraging regular coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow-up to ensure training objectives are attained.
  • Creates and delivers HR related training sessions and/or facilitates workshops.
  • Recommends new HR strategies.
  • Identifies and facilitates process improvement projects to drive efficiency.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
