The position
As Director People & Culture DACH you are driving the people agenda in your region. You are balancing a strategic and operational human resources function for a global organization in a mature and important market which consists of 5 business units with ~800 employees. Your team is consisting of 12 specialists in business partnering, learning & development, talent acquisition & employer branding as well as people operations. The people operations team is also supporting the distribution organization with ~150 employees.
We are looking for an empathic, commercially driven, and modern leader with excellent stakeholder management skills to enable business growth with efficient services and solutions tailored to the business unit needs. The position is part of the DACH management team as well as the European People & Culture team. The position is reporting to the Vice President DACH as well as the Senior Director People & Culture Europe. It is an exciting time to join this business as we have recently grown the people served by the People and Culture team in this region through the acquisition of a new company Atos Medical and its integration into the Coloplast organisation.
Ultimately you are responsible to impactfully contribute to the success of the DACH cluster, but more specifically, you will be responsible for:
Understanding the organizational needs which enables business growth via excellent people services and solutions
Acting as a trusted advisor, thoughtful sounding board and business partner for the senior business leaders. Functioning as the expert on people and organizational issues
Creating and executing people-related strategies tied to the business’ strategies and needs, ensuring talent implications are effectively identified and addressed
Championing the organizations culture, driving an environment of engagement, open communication, and high ethical standards
Provide the day-to-day leadership, management, motivation, and development of the People & Culture team
Essential Qualification
You are senior People & Culture leader with a background in commercial sales, services, and marketing organizations in a matrix setup, experience in life science industry is a benefit
Minimum 10 years of HR experience in progressive HR roles
HR experience in an environment with a worker council is a prerequisite
Broad-based HR understanding including a strong track-record in terms of talent-, and change management
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical skills, business acumen and commercial mind-set
Able to challenge strong stakeholders to reach the best results
Quick learner with a high degree of common sense, resourcefulness, and flexibility
Ambitious to deliver results through a collaborative approach
International in thinking and attitude
Results-oriented, motivated leader who consistently operates at high levels
Proactively owns initiatives with the ability to navigate around obstacles and persevere through setbacks
Innovative and creative with a strong mindset for continuous improvement
Fluent in german and English in a prerequisite
Excellent communicator both oral and written, with an ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner
