PEOPLE & CULTURE (HR) MANAGER
The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is looking for a People & Culture Manager . As a member of the People & Culture team, the People & Culture Manager works across disciplines to deliver an exceptional experience.
Responsibilities:
Perform general Human Resources and administrative duties , w hich include, but not limited to, the following:
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and workers compensation, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company policies.
- Manage the leave of absence process, including FMLA, disability, and other leave types, ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to legal requirements.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits, leave policies, and workers’ compensation claims, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Coordinate workers’ compensation claims, ensuring timely reporting, compliance with regulations, and proactive management of return-to-work programs.
- Conduct regular audits of leave requests, and workers’ compensation claims to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Work closely with external vendors and insurance providers to negotiate and manage benefits plans, ensuring competitive offerings and cost control.
- Maintain accurate records for all benefits, leave, and workers’ compensation data, preparing reports for management as required .
- Provide training and support to employees and management regarding benefits, leave policies, and workers’ compensation procedures.
- Stay current with changes in relevant laws and regulations, ensuring that company policies are up-to-date and compliant.
- Identify , analyze, and initiate appropriate actions to resolve any unsatisfactory pattern of employee turnover.
- Manage the financial issues for the P&C budget including benefits, labor & salary reports, and plan cost effective events within the P&C budget guidelines.
- Conduct regular audits of insurance records, I-9 records, vacation, and sick allowances.
- Maintain employment files and other records personally and through delegation in a detailed manner on paper and in the P&C computer system.
- Assist with the planning and execution of all employee relation events.
- Act as an objective 3rd party employee counseling, problem solving or conflict situation and communicate to the Director of Human Resources and his Assistant any circumstances that may raise legal issues for the hotel.
