Description:

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE & TRAINING

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred or equivalent experience leading people.
  • 1-3 years of HR or people management experience, preferably in a generalist capacity.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with HR software and systems; experience with ADP, HiBob, and Teamtailor is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience with workforce oversight and administration.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and people-centric soft skills (i.e. emotional intelligence, empathy, inclusion, introspection, leadership, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical, critical and abstract reasoning skills.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Strongly self-disciplined and able to work independently in a fully remote environment, supporting multiple time zones.

  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Collaborate with managers to understand position requirements and support with recruiting, screening and onboarding qualified candidates to ensure all new employees are consistently welcomed and cared for in alignment with core values and company standards.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the initial point of contact for employees, handling general inquiries and involving People Experience management and/or senior leadership, as appropriate.
  • Benefits Administration: Support benefits programs by processing enrollments, addressing employee questions, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements with a high level of accuracy and discretion.
  • Payroll Processing: Assist in timely and accurate processing of payroll for global team members, maintaining accurate payroll records.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws. Track and document compliance training and certifications, and prepare HR reports, as needed.
  • Policy Implementation: Assist in updating and communicating HR policies, including the employee handbook.
  • Data & Record Management: Maintain employee records in the HRIS and other company databases containing personnel details, ensuring data accuracy, consistency and confidentiality across all data sources.
  • HR Programs Support: Collaborate with managers and senior leadership on employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs and other People Experience programs to enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Extended Team (Contractor) Support: Provide administrative support to managers engaging with the Extended Team (Contractor) workforce to ensure their experience is aligned with core values and company standards, as much as appropriate.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Provide support for employee disciplinary actions, conduct background checks, and perform other HR tasks as assigned by People Experience management and/or senior leadership.
  • Responsible for following all MTA policies and procedures related to security controls for the protection of personal or sensitive data and all confidential information; personal and sensitive data is defined as such by GDPR; confidential information is defined as all data, documents, or materials, in any form or medium, provided to the company that could reasonably be expected to be proprietary to a client or sponsor; confidential information includes, but is not limited to, any information concerning or relating to the property, products, technology, business and affairs of that client or sponsor
  • Provide recommendations for improvements of MTA security controls.
  • Complete all required Company directed security, policies, and procedure training.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
