  • You are a capable HR Professional with 7 years of relevant experience in HR related position with at least 2 years of people management
  • Experience in partnering with other managers and support with a broad range of People priorities.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SUMMARY

This is a pivotal position for the organisation supporting our Canadian business. This role will be the first point of contact for all People related matters within the Canadian market while supporting the facilitation of our people experience & employee engagement through our value of continuous improvement. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to Regional & Store management teams, as well as employees, by providing guidance and support on HR policies, procedures, and best practices. As well, this role will ensure compliance with relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies, mitigating risks and maintaining a positive employer brand.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with our Store & Regional Managers to provide coaching, support and drive the People agenda for our stores to ensure that our teams and individuals reach their full potential.
  • Handle complex employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution, ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all employees.
  • Cultivate the BN Employee experience by implementing key employee retention, engagement and performance initiatives.
  • Recommend, scope and implement projects to improve all stages of the employee lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership, counsel and best practice information in areas of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, grievances, talent development and compliance
  • Oversee the ongoing management of our HR databases and systems.
  • Lead the Workplace Health & Safety portfolio
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to HR best practices and legal requirements.
  • Draft and implement HR processes and policies.
  • Lead key organisational development projects including, the BN Engagement survey process, talent planning and pipelining, performance processes
  • Support the preparation for our annual leadership and team events.
  • You will lead, coach and mentor our HR Coordinator in the Philippines who looks after all of our contracts, variations, first level employee queries and HR Admin and Support.
