POSITION OVERVIEW:
People (HR) Services Generalist reports directly to the Director of People Services in the People department and supports our team members in our hospitals and Support Center by providing services and support to every team member, including Compliance administration (including company’s 401k plan, PLIT, Worker’s Compensation, etc.). The Generalist will ensure the efficient and accurate functioning of these systems to support People processes and enhance the overall team member experience. Including monitoring HR projects, processes, policies, and procedures to ensure they meet legal standards. The Generalist will collaborate with key organization stakeholders to implement system improvements, provide user support and training and project support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Continuously monitor HR practices, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in labor laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to the HR and management teams.
- Update Team Member Core and State Handbooks as needed
- Assist Director with policy development, design and updates
- Assist Total Rewards Manager with FLSA/wage compliance including minimum wage, federal and state regulations
- Monitor state sick time changes
- Manage state labor poster requirements
- Manage EEOC annual reporting
- Employee Life Cycle:
- Assist Director with the developing and implementing effective processes for recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding.
- Collaborate with the People (HR) Operations team to ensure the recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding processes are executed effectively.
- Assist the Director with implementing and enhancing programs that support employee development, growth and retention throughout their tenure.
- Administers the company’s Worker’s Compensation and PLIT programs.
- Administer Company Wide OSHA Program
- Development and implementation of content to support compliance training and other organizational learning needs.
- Always provides professional, consistent, and responsive support services across the organization to deliver high quality team member service and support.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management, or related field experience required; PHR or SPHR certification, a plus.
- Minimum of 5+ years, related experience, including maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
- Must have extensive knowledge of Worker’s Compensation management.
- Knowledge in multi-state policy development and compliance.
- Must have knowledge of OSHA, EEOC, FLSA regulations and requirements.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, writing skills, relationship-building skills and an ethical mindset.
- Strong sense of prioritization with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to listen and ascertain the needs of team members; ability to find and communicate accurate information concerning processes, policies, and procedures; ability to respond tactfully and courteously.
- Must be highly organized and be able to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
- Passionately drive results by thinking and acting promptly to ensure scalable solutions are realized.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent work at a computer for 90-100% of the time.
- Frequent to moderate noise level in the work environment.
- Frequent ability to carry our instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form to solve problems involving several variables.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch as well as manipulate (life, carry and move) up to 15 pounds.

Compensation/Schedule:
- Salary range is $75,000-$85,000
- Schedule: Monday – Friday
- Location: Remote
