Responsibilities:
The People Service Partner, operating with limited supervision, oversees personnel practices and policies. Responsibilities include process improvement, policy interpretation and administration, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and other essential duties to maximize the effectiveness of the People Service function on a site. This role performs both basic, local level HR work and advanced-level work in policy and program execution, and exercising discretion. Role is located in MSA site in Jacksonville, NC. This position is fully on-site and highly visible within the organization.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary liaison for both internal and external stakeholders, delivering outstanding HR customer service while addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly, whether face-to-face, via phone, or online.
  • Empower people leaders and associates by facilitating the effective utilization of self-service resources such as HCM.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the People Service responsibilities on a site. This may include administering and resolving issues within the case management system, following established processes, and challenging the status quo in driving continuous improvement
  • Support recruitment / retention plans with local leaders
  • Support development of people leaders in both day-to-day coaching / feedback sessions; and in structured training courses
  • Ensure that all HR services are delivered in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Provide change management and process improvement recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other HR teams and subsidiaries to ensure alignment of HR services.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on special projects, providing support across different HR functions.

THE PEOPLE SERVICE PARTNER WILL BE ENTRUSTED WITH THE FOLLOWING DUTIES:

  • Autonomous Initiative: Works independently and proactively identifies opportunities for incremental improvements in HR processes and systems, acting as a change agent.
  • Fair Treatment Advocacy: Ensures equitable treatment of employees at all levels, adhering to company, state, and federal policies and regulations.
  • Strategic Partnership: Collaborates with leaders and HR management to maintain compliance with employment regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Business Alignment: Supports business unit and department goals by partnering with other HR team members and Centers of Excellence.
  • Project Involvement: Contributes as a project team member and implementer for HR initiatives.
  • Hands-On Support: Engages directly with production areas to provide practical assistance. Supports employee relations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Partners with the plant safety team to enforce policies and procedures.
  • Comprehensive HR Execution: Manages disciplinary matters, investigations, talent management, safety, and training programs.
  • Inquiry Handling: Addresses employment-related inquiries, referring complex matters appropriately.
  • Disciplinary Meetings: Attends and actively participates in employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
  • Data Analytics: Generates reports, analyzes data, and manages headcount reporting from available HR systems.
  • Personal Data Accuracy: Administers personal data changes in the HR master data system, ensuring compliance with local legislation.
    Qualifications:

THIS ROLE IS POSTED AT MULTIPLE LEVELS DEPENDING ON EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Level II:

  • High School degree or GED is required.
  • Some level of education in HR or related field; Experience working in HR or related field will be taken into consideration.
  • 2 years of experience in Human Resources or relevant field required.
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.

Level III:

  • High School degree or GED
  • Some level of education in HR or related field; Experience working in HR or related field will be taken into consideration
  • 4 years of experience in Human Resources or relevant field required.
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.

Senior:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management or related field from an accredited college or university; Business or a technical field or equivalent.
  • 6 years of progressively responsible experience in Human Resources or relevant field required.
  • Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.
