  • Demonstrable experience in administration, ideally gained in an HR environment
  • A proven track record in the delivery of accurate data to tight timescales
  • A friendly, customer service focused approach, confident in speak to colleagues of all levels across the business
  • A positive attitude with the ability to adapt swiftly
  • A good understanding of GDPR and working in a team environment where personal data is kept confidential, protected and secure
  • An ability to manage your own workload, prioritise tasks effectively and work to tight deadlines accurately
  • IT capabilities in MS Office (Particularly Outlook, Work, Excel and One Drive) with the ability to quickly learn bespoke IT systems and tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a confident manner when communicating via Microsoft Teams or a similar communication tool

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for a HR Administrator to join our HR team. The focus of this role is to provide excellent HR administrative support for the business, covering all employee lifecycle processes, and providing additional guidance on all HR policies.The HR Administration team are responsible for a general employee relations, employee lifecycle processes for c2,000 employees.
The Team also provides process appreciation, training guidance and is a centre of employee knowledge and expertise for all Unite functions, properties and departments.

WHAT YOU`LL BE DOING

  • Processing and provision of payroll instructions for all contractual changes, new starters and leavers on a monthly basis
  • Processing changes to Terms & Conditions accurately and in a timely manner
  • Monitoring the team`s shared Manage Engine, responding to questions and requests from colleagues across the business and prioritising tasks as necessary
  • Adhering to filing protocols in line with GDPR requirements including data deletion
  • Support of Line Managers to comply with internal people processes
  • Production of reference letters as requested
  • Responding and resolving of questions from colleagues across the business
  • Contribute to achieving team KPIs
  • Operate in a collegiate and supportive manner both within the HR team and working closely with the wider People Team, Payroll and Line Managers as required to ensure the best possible service to our employees
  • Work collaboratively within the wider People Team and support with additional activity and/or project input as appropriate
