JOIN THE CITY OF MEDICINE HAT AS A PEOPLE SERVICES (HR) COORDINATOR

Permanent, Full time, On Site
We are looking for a driven, self starter to join our People Services Department as the People Services Coordinator! This role is responsible for supporting a wide range of activities related to employee records, training and compliance; all while keeping employee experience and service delivery at the forefront. This role requires a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretion, and is an exciting opportunity for an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, data-driven, and complex organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • HR diploma or certificate or equivalent combination of experience and education in a related field.
  • Five (5) years of related experience in an administrative support capacity including extensive involvement in providing customer service, utilizing office technology and other coordination and administrative support duties.
  • An equivalent combination of management approved training and education may be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Employee records management to ensure accurate documentation, record retention and security of information.
  • Coordinating training and development programs, including scheduling and registration and effective communication with facilitators and participants and other logistical requirements.
  • Coordinating information, data, documentation into various systems to ensure flawless execution, as well as performing back up support for position control processes.
  • Supports the delivery of various awards programs.
  • Provides clear information and explanations to employees regarding established and routine programs, policies, and procedures. Exercise sound judgment and escalate sensitive and/or complex matters in a timely fashion.
  • Conducts work with a high level of accuracy and quality and maintain a high level of professionalism while maintaining confidentiality.
