The People Services department at Grant Thornton UK LLP is dedicated to efficiently supporting our people with value-added services, enabling them to fulfil their roles effectively. As the first point of contact, People Services offers support and guidance throughout the entire employee lifecycle, from onboarding and mid-employment changes to lifestyle events through to departure from Grant Thornton. The specialist teams within People Services manage a variety of processes to ensure the accurate processing and recording of pay, terms and conditions for our people.

A look into the role

As a People Services Administration Team Leader within our People Services team, you will:

  • Be responsible for the people management of the People Services Administrators and People Services Administration Executives, delivering support and feedback to ensure a high quality and efficient administration function
  • Work collaboratively with other teams within People services and key stakeholders to build and continuously improve the Grant Thornton people experience
  • Drive quality and productivity of the team to ensure service level agreements are being adhered to. In turn, identify any productivity, quality and accuracy issues with team members to coach and develop individually and ensure that performance management takes place when required
  • Ensure the team is adequately resourced based on the pipeline of work and payroll deadlines
  • Complete quality monitoring to ensure that all correspondences meet the required standards in line with corporate style
  • Understand the firm’s vision, strategy and values and how the People Services team can support this. Raising brand awareness and the profile of our firm
  • Apply a breadth and depth of knowledge and experience to generate practical business solutions

Knowing you’re right for us

Joining us as a People Services Administration Team Leader in the People Services team, the minimum criteria you’ll need is detailed below:

  • You will have strong experience of working as a Team Leader, within a customer service and administration focused environment
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills, excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • To be able to work effectively with people at all levels and build rapport and trusting relationships
  • To manage, lead and motivate others
  • To be able to take ownership and responsibility and meet deadlines whilst working under pressure
  • To have a proactive approach and have the confidence to vocalise ideas and challenge when needed, particularly in a project setting.

It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Team Leader experience gained within a HRSS environment
  • Strong Workday skills and experience of providing clients and stakeholders with quality services.
  • Experience of leading on HRSS projects
