Description:
We’re looking for a Performance and Risk Data Analyst to join us and support the team as we provide insight to our frontline teams to meet Thames Water’s current and future challenges.
What you’ll be doing as a Performance & Risk Data Analyst
You will be operating and maintaining data models that release intelligence and insight that enable clear and accurate critical decision metrics that support the operation of our assets. This will require statistical modelling, data mining, innovative analytical tools, and advanced data visualisation techniques to identify trends and provide insight on asset performance and risk.
- Collaboration with operational teams and other stakeholders across the company, sharing performance and risk insights to aid the consistent and efficient delivery of asset health performance commitments.
- Operate and maintain and deploy operational performance reports, to deliver accurate and trusted reports and insights, with appropriate commentary. Ownership of regulatory reports.
- Undertake performance and behavioural analysis on waste network assets, interpreting asset and operational data to identify performance trends and risk insights, and disseminate findings with appropriate visualisations and commentary.
- Effective collaborative use of data insight and operational knowledge to create interventions for operational delivery teams that focus on enhancing asset operation and/or risk. Interventions are actively tracked for timely and effective delivery against planned outcome.
- Maintain existing data management processes, monitoring key data quality metrics and proactively liaising with company-wide functional experts and data engineers to resolve any process failures or data quality issues. Identify and propose new developments to improve processes and models.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING TO THE ROLE
- Strong analytical background, including Excel, MS Access, SQL, Power BI.
- Several years of relevant business or technical experience.
- Experience of providing detailed management reports.
- Attention to detail, plus the ability to understand the wider context of analytical tasks.
- Good communication skills and self-driven approach to work.
- Excellent IT skills – relevant industry specific tools and systems as well as MS Office.
This is a hybrid role based in Clearwater Court, Reading. You will be required to be in the office once a week and when there are further business requirements.
- Offering up to £50,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
- 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service (Plus bank holidays)
