Job Introduction
We’re looking for an exceptional Performance Consultant to help us make a difference to our planet.
As our Performance Consultant, the job may be suitable for hybrid working, which is where an employee works part of the week in the office and part of the week from home. This is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement and the location advertised will be your contractual place of work.
Our opportunity is full time, 37 hours per week, but we would also consider applicants wishing to work a minimum of 30 hours per week and we will also try our best to consider those intending to work a job share. Our people are at the heart of what we do and we’ll do our best to agree a working pattern that works for everyone.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A good understanding of the Met Office’s learning philosophy, including the 70:20:10 model, and how to work with subject matter experts to apply this to meet business need.
- A proven ability to operate, and successfully deliver, outcomes with a significant degree of autonomy within defined resources and operating frameworks.
- An understanding of the importance of measuring the impact of interventions and knowledge of different methods by which this can be achieved.
- A proven ability to work with others, building strong working relationships and using influence and persuasion skills to achieve desirable outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Heads of Profession and other business stakeholders to identify and define suitable learning and development solutions to meet the aims of those business areas and wider Met Office strategy, and in doing so optimise business and individual performance.
- Ensure metrics for measuring impact are identified and agreed, which are then embedded into the evaluation process for each intervention, enabling the project to produce Return on Investment / Return on Expectation reports and recommendations for change.
- Champion a learning-centric culture, as part of the Met Office learning philosophy including the 70:20:10 model, role modelling learning best practice within the Met Office and with our external partners
